Raag Sorath is 9th  Raag to appear in the raag wise collection of Shabads in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The compositions in this raga appear on a total of 65 pages from page numbers 595 to 660. This raag is performed in the first quarter of night.
Thaat: Khamaj, Jatti: Aurav Sampooran. In aroh gandhar and Dhaivat are absent. Both nishads are used in this raag.
