They alone are in the spring season, who sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. They come to worship the Lord with devotion, through their destiny. This mind is not even affected by the joy of spring. This mind is burnt by duality and double-mindedness. This mind is entangled in worldly affairs, creating more and more problems for himself. Enchanted by maya, it cries out in suffering forever. This mind is released, only when it meets the True Guru. Then, it does not suffer the fear of the messenger of death. This mind is released, when the Guru emancipates it. O Nanak, attachment to maya is burnt away through the Word of the Shabad.

ਜਿਹਰਾ ਮਨੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਓਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਸੰਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੜਾਵ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹੰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨ ਦ੍ਵੈਤਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਭੰਬਲ ਭੂਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਫ਼ਸੇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨੂ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਂਦਾ. ਇਹ ਮਨ ਸੰਸਾਰਿਕ ਕਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫ੍ਸੇਆ ਅਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਰੋਜ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਯਾ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਗਧ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੋਵੇ. ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਸਦਕਾ ਮਨੁਖ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ. ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਯਾ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਨੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਖਤਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ.

जो मनुष्य प्रभु गुण गान करता है वोह बसंत जैसे अत्मक आन्नद का अनुभव करता है और अपने शुभ भाग्य कारण प्रभु भागती में लीन रहता है. द्वैत मानसिक अवस्था मे मनुस्य पर बसंत के आनद का असर नहीं होता है. यह मन सांसारिक झमेलों में मघन अपने उलझनो में व्यस्त रहता है और माया के लालच कारन सदा दुखी रहता है. यह  मन मुक्त होता है जब उसे सच्चे गुरु संग मिलन हो. सच्चे गुरु के मिलाप द्वारा मनुष्य का मृतु डर अलोप हो जाता है. इस भटकते मन का उधार केवल सच्चा गुरु ही कर सकता है. नानक कहते हैं, माया के मोह को गुरु के शबद द्वारा ही खतम किया जा सकता है.
