| Thaat: Khamaj, Jatti: Aurav Sampooran. In aroh gandhar and Dhaivat are absent. Both nishads are used in this raag. |

Sat Siri Akal Ji just wanted to know how to differentiate rag sorath from rag desh????? Because the swaras are all the same???? And how is the usage of Gandhar in this rag what does it mean to use Gandhar as a meend???

I am so sorry for not replying to your message. The reason is that Gurpreet Kaur my wife who happened to be the source of all the material on this site is no more in this world. She left this world on 12th Sept 2016. She was diagnosed with a Brian Tumour in the month of April 2015 and left us all after facing the illness bravely. We now have her in her singing of so many Gurbani Shabads. Sorry again I am unable to answer to your query.

I am deeply touched by the divine peace in her voice when she sings gurbani so well may guru bless her soul and may through her singing millions continue to receive akal purakhs blessings.
