Shabad Interpretation in English:

By believing in Thee, O Lord God, man is blessed with glory. If man sees the Lord with his eyes, hears of Him with his ears, Chants His name with his mouth, then all his body and soul are in bliss. Here, there and in all directions, the Lord is pervading, He is equally contained in the mountains and even in the straw. Wheresoever I see, there do I see the Supreme God Lord, my Spouse. In company of the saints, doubt and dread are dispelled. This is the divine wisdom that Nanak speaks of.

Shabad Interpretation in Punjabi:

ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੇ, ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਮਸਤ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਏਥੇ ਉਥੇ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ। ਪਹਾੜ ਅਤੇ ਫੂਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਇਕਰਸ ਰਮ ਗਯਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਓਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸੰਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਸੰਦੇਹ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਹੈ ਰੱਬੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

हे स्वामी प्रभु , जो व्यक्ति तुम्हारे ऊपर भरोसा रखता है उसे यश प्राप्त होता है. अगर मनुष्य अपनी आँखों से प्रभु के दर्शन करे, अपने कानों से प्रभु उस्तति सुने और मुख से प्रभु के नाम का उच्चारण करे तो उस व्यक्ति का समस्त शरीर एवं उस की रूह सुखी और प्रसन हो जाती है. प्रभु हर जगह और सभी दिशाओं मे व्यापक है. पहाड़ परबत एवं घास फूस मे भी वोह एकरस है. मेरी निगह जहां भी जाती है मुझे प्रभु सुआमी ही नज़र आता है. साध संगत द्वारा सभी संदेह और डर दूर हो जाते हैं, नानक इसी ब्रह्म ज्ञान का उच्चारण करता है.

Gurpreet Kaur’s journey in this world .... Gurpreet Kaur was a Musician. She was a singer and a composer of music. Her interest was composing and singing Gurbani Shabads in Indian Classical style. She sang Shabads in All the Raags mentioned in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. She also taught Gurmat Sangeet at Gurmat Gian Missionary College, Jawadi, Ludhiana. Elder child to Pushpinder Kaur and Dr. Brig. Harminder Singh, was born in Amritsar on 13th Jan 1962. She attended various convent schools as a child because her father would get frequent Army postings as a dental surgeon. She graduated with Music Honors from Govt. College for Women, Chandigarh. Music was her hobby and she composed and sang Raag based Gurbani Shabads. Doing Kirtan was part of growing up nurtured by her parents. She learned music from her father Dr. Brigadier Harminder Singh who was a dental surgeon in Indian Army and a very good singer himself. Gurpreet’s Bhua (father’s sister), Ajit Kaur retied as a Head of Department of Music from Govt. College for Women Ludhiana, and was a renounced Punjabi singer of her time. Gurpreet Kaur also learned nuances of Indian Classical Music from Pandita Sharma. She was a mother of three children, and a grandmother. Her daughter Keerat Kaur is a Computer Engineer. Her two sons Gurkeerat Singh and Jaskeerat Singh are doctors in USA. Her daughter Keerat Kaur too was part of her group ~ Gurmat Gian Group. Gurpreet Kaur left this world at the age of 54yrs on 12th Sept 2016 in Baltimore USA. She had recorded around 25 cds of Gurbani Keertan.
