Raag Bihagra is 7th  Raag to appear in the raag wise collection of Shabads in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The compositions in this raga appear on 20 pages from page 537 to 557. The time of performance for this raag is during the late evening time between 9 p.m. and 12.00 a.m.
Rishab & Dhaiwat are absent in aroh. In avroh all the surs are present. Thus the jatti is Aurav Sampooran. It belongs to Bilawal thaat.Vadi is Gandhar, Samvadi is Nishad.The only difference of Raag Bihagra with Raag Bihag of Indian Classical Music is use of komal nishad in avroh, for example: Sa Ni Dha Pa, Ni(k) Dha Pa, Ma Ga Re Sa.
