Raag Kanara

Raag Kanara is 28th Raag to appear in the raag wise collection of Shabads in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Gurbani compositions in this raag appear in 25 pages from page numbers 1294 to 1319. Raag Kanara is different from Darbari Kanara.
Thaat: Kafi; Jatti: Sharav Sharav; Both Nishads are used, Gandhar is Komal; all other swars are sudh;  Dhaivat is forbidden. Singing time for this raag is second quarter of the night.
