Satnam maam would you kindly explain the usage of the nishads in raag suhi when is komal ni to be used and when should shuddha ni be used and if its thaat is bilawal why komal ni bilawal has only shudhha swaras kindly explain the usage of both nishads in this raaga thanking u jaideep
And in avrohan why is shuddha ni not used maam can shuddha ni be used in avroh too or is it restricted to aroh only
Jaideep, for Suhi, Komal Nishad is restricted to Avroh only. ~ Gurpreet
Thank you so much maam and is shudhha ni allowed in avroh and one more doubt in aroh or the ascent is it ni (komal) dh ni (shuddha) sa or ni (shuddh) dh ni(shudhha) sa with lots of thanks for your guidance maam jaideep

I am a novice in this field but wish to enquire whether our regular Kirtan Jathas do the kirtan of a specific shabad in that particular raag only which is specified in Guru Granth Sahib or do they divert to other tunes according to their tastes.
Gajinder ji, you would rarely find such a Kirtani Jatha that always sings Gurbani Shabad in the same raag as mentioned in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Including even all the puratan Raagis would sing some shabads in nirdharit raags and other shabads in different raags.
