Shabad Interpretation in English:

This mind is rejuvenated in this way, by remembering the Name of the Lord, day and night, the gurmukhs get rid of egoism. With the advent of spring all the plants start flowering. And all the living beings blossom when they focus their consciousness on the Almighty. The True Guru speaks the Word of God, and this world blossoms through the love of the True Guru. The mortal blossoms forth when the Lord Himself so wills, and he gets attached to the Lord, when he finds the True Guru. The Lord Himself is the season of spring; the whole world is His Garden. O Nanak, this unique devotional worship comes only by perfect destiny.

ਇਸ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖੇੜ੍ਹਾਵ੍ ਤੇ ਤਾਜਗੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦ, ਗੁਰਮੁਖ, ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ, ਅਪਨੇ ਮਨ ਤੂੰ ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂ ਧੋ ਲਾਇਦਾ ਹੈ. ਬਸੰਤ ਰਿਤੁ ਦੇ ਆਗਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਖਿੜ੍ਹ੍ ਉਠਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤੁ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਖ ਕੇ ਖੇੜ੍ਹਾਵ੍ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ. ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਯਾਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਜਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਹੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਨੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਖੇੜ੍ਹਾਵ੍ ਉਤਪਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੂ ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋਰ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਸੰਤ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬਗੀਚਾ ਹੈ. ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ, ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੋਂਦੀ ਹੈ.
Shabad Interpretation in Hindi:

इस मन मे खेढ़ाव और ताजगी की अवस्था उस वक्त आती है जब गुरुमुख दिन रात प्रभु सिमरन द्वारा अपने मन के अहंकार को धो डालता है. बसंत ऋतू के आगमन से सारी श्रिष्टी खिढ़ उठती है और जीव जंतु भी प्रभु चिंतन से खेढ़ाव की अवस्था प्राप्त करते है। सच्चा गुरु परमात्मा के शबद का ही प्रवचन करता है और सच्चे गुरु के प्यार द्वारा जगत मे आनंद का प्रसार होता है. परमात्मा आप ही मनुष्य मे खेढ़ाव और आनंद उत्पन करता है जब उसे सच्चा गुरु मिल जाता है जो उसे परमात्मा के साथ जोढ़ता है. प्रभु परमात्मा आप ही बसंत है और यह जगत उस की फुलवारी है. नानक कहते हैं, उज्वल भाग्य वंश ही प्रभु भागती की प्राप्ती होती है.

Shabad Interpretation in English:

O, my foolish mind, meditate on the True Lord. Only then shall you find peace, O my mind. Just as when the season of spring comes all the plants blossom. This mind too blossoms, in association with the True Guru. This mind blossoms forth, and I am in ecstasy, when I am blessed with the ambrosial fruit of the Naam, the Name of the Lord of the Universe. Everyone speaks and says that the Lord is the one and only. By understanding the Hukam of His Command, we come to know the One Lord. Says Nanak, no one can describe the Lord by speaking through ego. All our wisdom and insight comes from our Lord and Master Waheguru.

ਹੇ , ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਕਾਲਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਧਯਾਨ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੀ। ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਸੰਤ ਰਿਤੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਲ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਖਿੜ ਉੱਠਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ  ਦੇ ਮੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਵੀ ਖਿੜ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ ।  ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਤੇ ਖਿਰ੍ਹਾਵ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰੂਪੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।  ਸਾਰੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਸ  ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਮਝ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਅਸੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਮਝ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।  ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਅਹਿਮ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ,  ਅਸੀ ਜੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਵਾਹੇਗੁਰੁ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੱਮਝ ਤੇ ਜਾਨ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸੀ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ ।
Shabad Interpretation in Hindi:

हे, मेरे मूर्ख मन, तुम सच्चे भगवन का धयान करो जिस से ही तुझे शांति प्राप्त हो गी। जिस तरह बसंत ऋतू मे समस्त बनस्पति खिल उठती है उसी तरह  सच्चे गुरु के सपर्श से मानुष का मन भी खिल उठता है। मेरा मन आनंदित और खिल उठता है जब मुझे प्रभु के अमृत रूपी नाम की प्राप्ती हो जाती है। सभी कहते हें कि प्रभु परमेश्वर एक और अनंत है पर उस के हुकम को समझ कर ही हम उस की असलीअत को समझ सकते हैं। नानक कहते हैं कि अहम अवस्था मे रह कर उस भगवन का वर्णन नहीं कीया जा सकता, हम जो कुछ भी समझ और जान सकते हैं, बस उसी मालिक प्रभु की किरपा दृष्टी से संभव है।

Shabad Interpretation in English:

O Lord Waheguru, Master of the earth, Life of every soul, please do not forget me I am Your humble servant. I do not remain in good company and I remain anxious day and night. My actions are full of cunningness, and my birth itself is of no value.  Take away my pains, and bless Your humble servant with Your sublime Love. I shall not leave Your Feet, even though my body may perish. Says Ravi Daas, I seek the protection of Your Sanctuary; Please, meet Your humble servant … do not delay.

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ, ਹਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ, ਮੈਂ  ਆਪ ਦਾ ਨਿਮਣਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਮਤ ਜਾਣਾ. ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਗੁਜਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਮ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ.  ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਦਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਾਲ ਲਓ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਅਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਦੋ. ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਚਾਹੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵੀ ਨਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਛੱਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ. ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਅਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦ ਹੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੋ, ਦੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ.

हे प्रभु, पृथ्वी के मालिक, हर आत्मा के जीवन दाता, मैं अप का  विनम्र सेवक हूँ मुझे भूल मत जाना. मेरा दिन रात अच्छी संगत में नहीं गुजरता और मेरे करम चालाकी से भरे हुए हैं, और मेरा जन्म व्यर्थ का है जिस का कोई मूल्य नहीं है. मुझे मेरी मुश्किल अवस्था मे से निकल लो, और अपने उदार प्रेम के साथ अपने विनम्र सेवक को आशीर्वाद दो. मैंने तेरे चरणों का आसरा ले लिया है, अब चाहे शरीर भी नाश हो जाय आप के  चरणों का आसरा छोड़ नहीं सकता . रविदास जी कहते हैं, मैने अपने को आप के हवाले कर दिया है, इस विनम्र सेवक को शिग्र्ह दर्शन दो, देर न करो मेरे प्रभु.

Shabad Interpretation in English:

Waheguru, your Naam relievers all sorrow; destroyer of sorrow is your name. All day and night dwell upon the wisdom of perfect true Guru. That heart, in which the supreme Lord Waheguru abides, is the most beautiful place. The messenger of death does not trouble those who chant the glorious praises of the Lord with their tongue. I have not understood the wisdom of serving Him, nor have I worshipped Him in meditation. O Lord, the Life of this World, I seek your support, you are vast and incomprehensible. When the Lord of the Universe became merciful, sorrow and suffering departed. Those who are protected by the True Guru, do not face difficult times. The Guru is the all-pervading Lord, the Guru is the merciful Master; the Guru is the True Creator Lord. When the Guru was totally satisfied, I obtained everything. Nanak has surrendered to Him forever.

ਹੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਦੁਖ ਦਰਦ ਨੂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ. ਮਨੁਖ ਨੂ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਾਯਾ ਨੂ ਹਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਧਯਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ  ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮ ਦਾ ਵਾਸ ਹੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਓਹ ਸਭ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਗਾਹ ਹੋਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਰਸਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾ ਦਾ ਗਾਯਨ ਹੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਜਦੀਕ ਨਹੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਲ ਧਯਾਨ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਰਾਧਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ. ਹੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਨਹਾਰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਲਿਕ, ਮੈ ਹੁਣ ਤੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਤੇ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਤਾ ਹੈ. ਜੇ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਮਲਿਕ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਦੁਖ ਤੇ ਤਕਲੀਫਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਜਦੀਕ ਨਹੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਸਰਬ ਵਾਯਾਪਾਕ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਦਯਾਵਾਨ ਮਲਿਕ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਸਚਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਜਾਵੇ, ਸਭ ਕੁਛ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ।

हे परमात्मा, तेरा नाम हर किसम के दुखों का निवारण करता है. मनुष्य को पूरण सत्य गुरु की सिख्शा को हर समय ध्यान मे रखना चाहिए। जिस हिरदय मे प्रभु परमेश्वर का वास होता है वोह सभ से सुंदर स्थान होता है. जिस रसना से हरी जस का गायन होता है वहां मौत का डर नज़दीक नहीं आता। हे प्रभु, मैने ना ही सेवा मे धयान दिया है और न ही तेरी आराधना की है. हे संसार के पालन हार एवं अनंत गुणों के मालिक, मै ने अब तेरा ही सहारा लिया है. अगर इस संसार के मालिक की किरपा हो सभी दुःख और तकलीफ दूर हो जाती है और कोइ भी मुश्किल नज़दीक नहीं आती। पूरण गुरु ही सरब व्यापक परमात्मा है. गुरु ही दयावान मालिक है. गुरु ही स्रिष्टी का सर्जनहार है. अगर पूरण गुरु खुश हो तो सभ कुछ प्राप्त होजाता है. नानक ने अपनेआप को उस पूरण प्रभु को समर्पण कर दीया है.

Shabad Interpretation in English:

The loving desire to meet Almighty has arisen within my mind. I touch His Feet, and offer my prayer to Him. If only I had the great good fortune to meet the Saint. I surrender my mind to Him; I place my wealth before Him. I totally renounce my selfish ways. One who teaches me the Sermon of the Lord God – night and day, I shall keep following Him. When the seed of the karma of past actions sprouted, I met the Lord; He is both the Enjoyer and the renouncer. My darkness was dispelled when I met the Lord. O Nanak, after being asleep for countless incarnations, I have awakened.

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਜਾਗੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਡੇਭਾਗ ਹੋਣ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂ ਕੋਈ ਪੂਰਣ ਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ। ਮੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਵਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀ ਅਕਲ ਨੂ ਤਯਾਗ ਦਾਵਾਂ। ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈ ਸਭ ਕੁਛ ਛਡ ਉਸ ਪਿਛੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਲਾਗੀ ਰਵਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਗਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵੱਲਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਤਾ ਮਨੁਖ ਵੀ ਜਾਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Shabad Interpretation in Hindi:

मेरे मन मे प्रभु मिलने की प्रीत जगी है। मै उस के चरणों पे निवदन करती हूँ कि मुझे सुभाग वंश किसी संत संग मिलाप हो।  मै उस के समुख अपना मन एवं धन अर्पण कर दूं और अपने मन के अहम का त्याग दूं। जो मुझे प्रभु के गुणों का ज्ञान देता है मै उस के संग हमेशां रहूँ गी। मेरे कर्मों के कारन ही मुझे उस परमेश्वर के दर्शन हों गे, जो कि खुद आनंदित है और दोसरों को आनंद प्रदान करने वाला है। नानक कहते हैं, उस प्रभु को मिल कर अन्धकार का नाश हो जाता है और जनम जन्मो का सोया मनुष्य भी जाग जाता है।
