Shabad Interpretation in English:

I seek the Sanctuary of the all-powerful Waheguru. My soul, body, wealth and all I have belong to the One God, who is the cause of everything that happens. Meditating, meditating in remembrance on Him, I have found everlasting peace. He is the source of life. He is all-pervading, permeating all places; He is in subtle essence and manifest form.  Abandon all your entanglements and worthless occupations; sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord forever. With folded hands, Nanak begs for this blessing – please bless me with Your Name.

Shabad Veyakheya in Punjabi:

Thanks for appreciating the singing of this Shabad. This shabad has been sung in a different shaylee known as Dhamar. Dhamar is a type of Taal of 14 beats and was sung in older times, no longer commonly used. A unique difference of this Dhamar Taal with other taals is that all Taals begin with ‘Dha’ but this Dhamar Taal begins with ‘K’.

One needs a lot of practice to sing in this taal.
