O my mother, tell me about my beloved Lord. Without the Lord, I cannot live, for even for a moment. I love Him, like the camel loves the vine. My heart is miserable and sad, longing for the blessed darshan of Waheguru. Just as a bumblebee cannot live without the lotus, I cannot live without the Lord. O my beloved, master of the universe, keep me under your protection, help me to have complete faith in Almighty God. Humble Nanak’s heart is filled with bliss and happiness, when he beholds even for an instant, the blessed darshan of Waheguru.

ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਸ. ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਵੀ ਅਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤੂੰ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਹਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਹੈ. ਜਿਦਾਂ ਇਕ ਊਂਠ ਹਰੇ ਪਤੇਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਵਾਂਗ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਲ ਪਯਾਰ ਕਰਦੀਂ ਹਾਂ. ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵ੍ਯਾਕੁਲ ਹੋਗਯਾ ਹੈ. ਜਿਸ ਤਰਂਹ ਇਕ ਭੌਰਾ ਕਮਾਲ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਰਹ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਰਹ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ।  ਓਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਮਲਿਕ ਮੇਨੂ ਅਪਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇ. ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਫੈਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੂ ਇਕ ਪਾਲ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ओ मेरी जननी, मुझे मेरे प्रीतम प्रभु के बारे मे बताओ,  प्रभु बिना मुझ से इक पल भी रहना मुश्किल है. जैसे ऊँट हरी लता देख खुश होता है, मैं भी उस तरह प्रभु संग प्रेम करती हूँ. मेरा मन प्रभु दर्शन के लाई व्याकुल हो गया है. जिस तरह भौरा कमल बिन नहीं रह सकता, मैं भी प्रभु बिन नहीं रह सकती। ओ मेरे पयारे संसार के मालिक मुझे अपनी शरण दे और परमात्मा पे पूर्ण विश्वाश करने की शक्ति दे. नानक के मन मे आनंद और ख़ुशी का संचार हो जाता है जब इक पल भर प्रभु दर्शन प्राप्त हो जाएं।
