The soul-bride who has not known delight with her husband Lord, shall weep and wail with a wretched face. Caught in the noose of her deeds, she becomes hopeless and strays in doubt, without the Guru.

Pour down, ye, O clouds. My spouse Lord has come into my home.

I am in gratitude to my beloved Guru, who has made me meet my Lord God.

Ever fresh is my love with my Lord. My devotional service looks beauteous night and day. Seeing the Guru’s vision, I am emancipated and through my loving adoration, I have become glorious throughout all the ages.

I am Yours, the whole world is yours as well. You are mine, and I am Yours. Meeting with the true Guru, I have found the Immaculate Lord; I shall not be consigned to this terrifying ocean of this world ever again.

If the soul-bride is filled with delight on seeing her husband Lord, then her decorations are true. With the Immaculate Celestial Lord, she becomes the truest of the true. Following the Guru’s Teachings, she leans on the support of the Naam.

She is emancipated, her bonds are loosed by the Guru and contemplating the Name, she attains honour. The Lord’s Name abides on her mind, O Nanak and the sublime Guru unites her in the Lord’s union.

ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਝੰਬੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚੇਹਰਾ ਕੁਮਲਾਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ.

ਹੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਸ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਰੂਪੀ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ

ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ.

ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਦਾ ਨਵੀਂ-ਨਵੇਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸੁਹਣੀ ਹੀ ਸੁਹਣੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ. ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਗਨ ਲਗੀ  ਹੈ. 

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਾਂ, ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਅਸਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡਾ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਯਾ ਹੈ.

ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਚ ਰੂਪ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੋ ਇਕ ਸਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਈ.

ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ, ਬੰਧਨ  ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਚੀ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਵਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੈ.
