Shabad Audio:  Maadho Ham Aese Tum Aesa

Shabad Interpretation in English:

We are shabby and You are immaculate. We are devoid of attributes and You are the great giver.

We are stupid and You are wise and the knower of all things.

O Almighty, this is what we are, and this is what You are.

We are sinners, and You are the destroyer of sins. Your abode is so beautiful, O Lord.

You fashion all, and having fashioned them, You bless them. You bestow upon them soul, body and the breath of life.

We are worthless – we have no virtue at all; please, bless us with Your gift, O Merciful Master.

You do good for us, but we do not see it as good; You are kind and compassionate, forever and ever.

You are the Giver of peace, the Primal Lord, the architect of destiny; please, save us, Your children!

You are the treasure, eternal Lord King; all beings and creatures beg of You.

Says Nanak, such is our condition; please, Lord, keep us on the path of the saints.

dear sisters, i am writing this comment, as a request, firstly the shabad gayan was of very zenithal type, awesome, you all posses very good voices, true they are melodious as your blog says.

but then i have a request
first please upload these shabads in mp3, wma, ogg. formats too.
not many see videos, they play mp3s,wma, or ogg, while working on computers and while driving.
so you should consider it seriously.

in wordpress there is an audio plugin through which you can stream audio shabads and if possible, you should also give a link for downloading.

second, your blog writing skills are amazing but an instrument here and an instrument there doesn’t look professional, or even amateur, it is more of a nuisance (sorry if that hurt)
yeah those flowers look great and hey wait what is instead of these full -larriyaan, there should be a complete covering as we have in gurbaani pothi/ or as some say gutka. i am referring to that type of decoration on page marjins as on pages of a gurbaani pothi

third, in about page there isn’t anything clear how you started, whether you all can play harmonium, sitar, sarangi, rabaab etc or whether it is any of you who plays tabla.
now don’t get me wrong Miri Piri Jatha plays their own tabla.

and better still my sister can play tabla, and of course harmonium, while elder plays harmonium,
what i am saying is that one of you should try learning tabla it is easy if you have got the will.

and there too you all three are pictured in one photo only i mean it is good but in about page you should have single single picture of each, and by the side should be the description about the member

and four the name gurmat gian group????? group seems odd. but its okay but you should have chose a better word

    may waheguru bless you all

First of all many thanks for the appreciation. It’s a big stimulus to improve further. We always had plans of putting Audio Files to the blog. We just did it. Now all the Shabads on the blogs have links to Audio files which can be played and downloaded.
Well, all of us can play harmonium. But we do not play Tabla or other instruments like sarangi, dilruba, sitar or rabab. Its certainly great to have expertise in as many musical instruments possible. But music is a field where it takes a lifetimes effort to get somewhere. Vocal Music is one of the toughest to master and needs lot of dedication and is never ending. I feel (its my personal view) if a musician tries to indulge in multiple fields the results may not be too encouraging. I have seen it all around. You’ll never find a good vocalist playing an instrument while singing. Similarly you won’t find a good instrument player singing while giving an instrumental performance.
We prefer not to use even harmonium for our recordings. It’s a poor musical instrument. Basic training for a student of vocal music should not include harmonium. We try not to be dependent on harmonium. We use it to get the scale or sur. Tanpura is the best. We do use tanpura sound during recordings.
It would have been good if one of us was playing tabla. But we get accomplished tabla and other instrument players whenever we need for our recordings and they do very good work.

Regarding our group, some information is there in an interview with Keerat Kaur (my daughter and important member of our group) at https://gurmatgiangroup.wordpress.com/interviews/ (http://thelangarhall.com/archives/2734)

We’ll surly add more info in the About Page. Yes, there are some avoidable graphics we would take those points into account in future. If you happen to get hold of some flower-lariyan grafics like in Gutkas and Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, do send me we can use them.

Regarding the name of the group – Gurmat Gian Group. It just happened. Can’t change it now.

      Thanks again for your suggestions
