Shabad Interpretation in English:

I have come to You. I have come to Your Sanctuary. With faith in You I have come. I seek Your Mercy. O my Master, keep me and save me, the way it pleases You. Guru has put me on this path. Maya is very treacherous and difficult to pass through. It is like a violent windstorm. I am so afraid to hear that the Righteous Judge of Dharma is so strict and stern. The world is a deep dark pit, it is all on fire. I have grasped the Support of the Holy Saints. Nanak meditates on the Almighty. Now, I have found the Perfect Master.

    It is a great effort and your organisation deserve our congratulations. However, besides the literal translation of the shabad, if you may reflect on the following also (only if it is possible), we will highly appreciate;

    1. Reference to the context and moral of the shabad.
    2. Raga of the shabad with it’s significance.
    3. If possible, a personal experience and a related story of Guru/s, saints etc.

    Best wishes and regards.
