Raag Asa is part of Northern Indian Raags and it also appears in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. It is the 4th Raag to appear in the raag wise collection of Shabads in the scripture. The compositions in this raag appear on 142 pages from page numbers 347 to 489. It is a very old raag but it is not commonly sung by enthusiasts of the Indian Classical Music.It is said to be an early morning raag but is also enjoyed in the evening.
