Raag & Time
|Sardar Navtej Singh, has sent this message which we feel like sharing with Gurmat Sangeet lovers. He has presented his thoughts on the effects of listening to Gurbani in raags during the different time slots of a day.The raags of Indian Classical Music always had relation with Time and changes that occur with seasons. We would certainly like our viewers to give their input and in the process we all get wiser.
|Your music on this website and your CD Raag Ratan is fantastic. It has changed my life because I play the shabads at the times designated by the various Raags. This has a medical healing effect on the body and mind. I look forward to purchasing the rest of your CDs.
I think your listeners will benefit if you put the following information on your website about when and WHAT TIME to play a particular shabad… and to always make it clear what Raag the shabad is in. (This information is based on the research I have done . I am a Phd Student in Sikhism in the UK. If there are any mistakes, please correct them.). I look forward to hearing from you.
