Shabad Translation in English:

Oh Waheguru ! don’t let me experience or see the difficult times. Protect your Sewak. Giving His hand, He protects His devotee; with each and every breath, He cherishes him. My consciousness remains attached to God. In the beginning, and in the end, God is always my helper and companion; blessed is my friend. My mind is delighted, gazing upon the marvellous, glorious greatness of the Lord and Master. Remembering, remembering the Almighty in meditation, Nanak is in ecstasy; God, in His perfection, has protected and preserved his honor.
 Shabad Interpretation in Punjabi:

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ  ਅਪਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂ ਔਖੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ. ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਖਇਆ  ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਸਵਾਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ. ਹੁਣ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਹੋ ਗਯਾ ਹੈ. ਆਦ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਤ ਤਕ ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਤੇ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੈ. ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲਤਾ ਤੇ ਵਡਾਈ ਦੇਖ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਯਾ ਹੈ. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਯਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ.

 Shabad Interpretation in Hindi:

हे प्रभु, किरपा कर, अपने सेवक को कठिन समय से बचा ले. परमात्मा तो खुद अपने भगतों की रख्षा करता है ओर हर श्वास उन की देखभाल करता हे. अब तो मेरा हृदय प्रभु पे समर्पण हो गया है. धन्य प्रभु आदि से अंत तक हमारा साथी ओर सहायक है. मेरा मन परमात्मा की आश्चर्यजनक विशालता देख अचरज हो उठा है. प्रभु का सिमरन कर कर के नानक आनंदित हो गया है और पूर्ण प्रभु ने अपना आसरा प्रदान कर दीया है.

As long as his mind is disturbed by waves, he is caught in ego and egotistical pride. He does not find the taste of the Shabad, and he does not embrace love for the Naam. His service is not accepted; worrying and worrying, he wastes away in misery. O Nanak, he alone is called a selfless servant, who cuts off his head, and offers it to The Almighty. He accepts the Will of the True Guru, and enshrines the Shabad within his heart.

 Shabad Interpretation in English:

I have surrendered myself to my Lord and Master. Now that I have sought your protections, O my Lord Master, save me or finish me. I have destroyed the cunningness and the cleverness of this world. Whether someone speaks good of me, or some speak ill of me, I have surrendered my whole self to You.  Whoever seeks refuge in you, O God, You always save by Your merciful grace. Servant Nanak has entered your sanctuary, dear Lord; O venerable God, please, protect his honour.
 Shabad Interpretation in Punjabi:

ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਛੱਡ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ।  ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ , ਚਾਹੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜਾ ਹੈ ਉਵੇਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ. ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਮੈਂ  ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚਡ ਆਈ  ਹਾਂ। ਚਾਹੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਖੇ ਜਾ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਖੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭਕੁਝ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗੇ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ. ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਹੇ ਮਲਿਕ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਈ, ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਯਾ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖ.

अब मैं दूसरे सभी सहारे छोड़ के अपने मालिक प्रभु की शरण आ गई हूँ. हे प्रभु, मैं तेरी शरण आ गई हूँ अब तूं चाहे अपने पास रख ले या मार दे, तेरी मर्जी. लोगों की चतुराई और उपमा मैं ने आग मे भस्म कर दी है. कोइ मुझे चाहे भला कहे या बुरा कहे मैं ने तो अपना तन प्रभु चरणों में अर्पण कर दीया है. हे मालिक जो भी तरी शरण आता है तूं अपनी किरपा द्वारा उस की रक्षा करता है. हे प्रभु मुरारी तेरा सेवक नानक तरी शरण आया है तूं उस की लाज रख.

One who has such good destiny written upon his forehead, dedicates himself to His service. One who attains the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, has his desires fulfilled. In the Saadh Sangat, immerse yourself in the Love of the Lord; remember the Lord of the Universe in meditation. Doubt, emotional attachment, sin and duality – he renounces them all. Peace, poise and tranquility fill his mind, and he sings the Lord’s Glorious Praises with joy and delight. Nanak chants what he knows through the Guru’s Teachings: one who has such good destiny written upon his forehead, dedicates himself to His service.

Shabad Interpretation in English:

The Lord cannot be obtained by giving in alms gold equal to one’s weight.

But, I have bought my Master by giving Him my soul.

Now I recognise the Lord, as my own.

My mind is intuitively pleased with Him.

Brahma spoke of Him, but could not find His limit.

By devoting myself to Him, the Lord has come to reside in me.

Says Kabeer, I have renounced my restless intellect. I have made devotion to Lord my sole destiny.


Shabad Interpretation in Hindi:

प्रभु परमेश्वर को कंचन से तौल कर नहीं पाया जा सकता, मैने तो प्रभु को अपना मन बेच कर खरीद लिया है। मेरे मन ने सहज ज्ञान से ही प्रभु को अपना जान किया है।  ब्रह्मा ने जिस की महमा को कह कह कर भी नहीं जाना, उस ने मेरी भगती द्वारा मेरे मन मंदिर मे निवास कर लिया है। कबीर जी कहते हैं, मैने अपने मन की चंचलता को त्याग दिया है और अपने भाग्य को सिर्फ प्रभु भगती मे लगा दीआ है।

Shabad Interpretation in Punjabi:

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੌਲ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਵੇਚ ਕੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।  ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੇ ਸਹਿਜ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣ ਲੇਯਾ ਹੈ ।   ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮਹਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਕਹਿ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਨੇਆ,  ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੰਦਿਰ  ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।  ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ  ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ,  ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਯਾਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ  ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ ।
